By June 13, 2008 - 11:31 amI left before JTL, mailny because the players I played with left as well. I'm not really big on playing multiplayer games solo. I loved the skill system, mission system, survey/sample system, and the crafting system. I loved the theme parks, loved running from place to place, hopping a shuttle, or (eventually) riding across the land on a speederbike. It all felt so manual like I was actually doing something. Sure, combat was still mostly automatic, but you still had to manage your pool-burns and cool-downs. I think the game was perfectly fine before they up-and-changed it. I think the largest problem wasn't combat or the epic-hero-ness. It was high-end content and the constant grind. My friends all left the game because they maxed out their characters and got tired of running the same missions. There should have been more theme park-type quests, more threaded quests, more group quests, and more faction-based impact on the world. Guild base raiding was pretty fun, but had little impact. There could have been more to the Rebel vs. Empire thing. Maybe I left before all of that happened.
