A friend made a comment tonight that would have sent my drink though my nose and all over my monitor… had I been drinking! Luckily for me, I wasn’t. But anyone who’s been in Landmark the last week is sure to understand why:

“I want pants that say ‘F to interact’!”

Perhaps the beginnings of a new line of clothing? Would you wear a pair? Either way, it’s nice to have a reason to laugh at that special “feature” we’ve all been dealing with.

Landmark on the brain much? You know you’ve got it bad when you wake up every couple of hours and check Twitter just to see if the server is back up with the (obviously much-anticipated) combat update.

You know you have it even worse when in between Twitter checks you dream that Franchise Director Dave Georgeson invited to a special real life Landmark combat/AI test! Of course, weapons were apparently not implemented yet, so we resorted to trying to hide/sleep under the beds. Didn’t work well for me, but I eventually prevailed.

I plan to get Dave back for that. Someday!

The next thing in EQ is finally here: Next in EverQuest is live! Unlike here where I cover all things shiny in gaming, NiEQ is an in-character journey though the various lands of Norrath. (And yes, I still have faith that SOE will give us a Norrath-enforced realm in Landmark!) And if you join in the journey with me, you can win a Settler Founders Pack.

Many of you know me in game as some form of Emy, since naming conventions have always had an issue with MJ. NiEQ will follow the adventures of my character in all EQ titles — EverQuest, EverQuest II, Landmark, and EverQuest Next. Each game will have its own distinct travelogue on the site, so you can follow one or you can follow them all. Starting off are adventures in Landmark.
