You may have noticed that April has slipped past without the annual AdventureQuest 3D DuckyDucky Easter Hunt. That’s not because it was forgotten. Oh no. And it wasn’t just to balance out how early last year’s hunt was. The delay was due to waiting a smidgen as some special new DuckyDuckys were being added into the game for your collecting pleasure! We’re talking about a sizable assortment of DuckyDucky statues to add to your homes. You can build your own flock! These new fluffy friends can be found at Zilla’s community shop. Not only that, there is a special ghostly version that can drop from the DuckyZilla spawn itself. And now that this flock has arrived, it is time to begin the hunt and start your new collection.

So let’s get going with the seventh annual DuckyDucky Easter Hunt! This year will follow the same flight pattern as last year: Over the course of a week (and maybe a bit more!), Sir DuckyDucky will be hiding throughout Lore in his mini DuckyDucky form. As folks find him, a Mega DuckyDucky will be spawned for everyone to play with. Drops include DuckyDucky coins, capes, travel form feathers, and now the ghostly DuckyDucky housing statue. And those coins can be spent on a pet, a travel form, and now housing items in the community shop.

The hunt begins today, 6 May 2025! The 7th annual DuckyDucky Easter Hunt kicks off at 3:00 p.m. EDT on MJTV. Don’t fret if you miss the first one; there will be plenty more throughout the week, with oodles of chances to earn some fluffy stuff. Clues for the search will be shared via this post, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, DuckyDucky Discord, and even livestream on MJTV. Once those spawns descend, Sir DuckyDucky will fly off, finding himself a new hiding place somewhere in Lore. Don’t forget, he can appear on any server, so follow the clues. And don’t forget, finding him once isn’t the end; if you suss him out multiple times, you not only get multiple chances at rare rewards, you collect more coins to buy more stuff with.

To help make up for the wait, we’re adding more days (most with livestream clue giving) to this year’s hunt. Three more, in fact! Here are the eight different hunt days of various times to help accommodate all times zones:

Just a reminder that for fairness, the Go To function will not work on Sir DuckyDucky. His friends list is completely blank, so no one will have an advantage. And everyone who participates gets a reward (unlike a piñata). There are plenty of chances to play with DuckyZilla; if you can’t catch him at one spot, follow the clues and head to the next.  You might even stumble upon a random DuckyZilla on your way.

It’s time: Time for some ducking fun! Easter was certainly early this year, which means ya’ll get to hunt for DuckyDucky sooner. And hunt you will. For this sixth annual DuckyDucky Easter hunt, folks follow clues to seek out the hiding Sir DuckyDucky — who will be in mini DuckyDucky form — in order to earn some fluffy rewards. Once enough have flocked to his hiding spot, a Mega DuckyDucky will be spawned for everyone to tickle until he drops the goodies. And it all starts tomorrow, 5 April 2024, as the 6th annual DuckyDucky Easter Hunt kicks off at 9:30 p.m. EDT on MJTV.

So Where in the World is Sir DuckyDucky? (Are you singing again? Good!) Clues for the search will be shared via this post, Twitter (I refuse to call it that letter!), DuckyDucky Discord, and even livestream on MJTV. As always, after the spawns, Sir DuckyDucky will skedaddle and find himself a new spot — and even a new server — somewhere around Lore, so listening to clues carefully is still important. If you find him, don’t stop! Catching him multiple times is rewarding: Each DuckyDuckyZilla will drop a token that can be exchanged for a pet and permanent travel form in the community shop, and also has the chance to drop the Cape o’ DuckyDucky and temporary travel forms.

Following last year, we’ll have five different hunt days of various times to help accommodate all times zones. Here are the hunt times:

Thanks so much for the fun everyone! Every year is slightly different; already looking forward to next year’s. Taking feedback into account and planning ways to bring back more fun in the hunt!

What will be familiar to the flock of DuckyDucky hunters? You will still be searching for Sir DuckyDucky. You will still get clues via this site, Twitter, on the DuckyDucky Discord, and live on the MJTV stream. Sir DuckyDucky will continue to move all around Lore (and move servers!), so listening to clues carefully is still important. There will also be multiple days and times to help accommodate as many folks as possible. You will also have the chance to get the cape and the pet.

So what’s different this time around? Starting this year, Sir DuckyDucky will not be hiding as his bushy-faced self; instead, he will be in tiny DuckyDucky form. There is also no longer a need to submit any screenshots once you discover his whereabouts. In place of that, you’ll be facing a DuckyZilla! Yup, once a few hunters find his location, Sir DuckyDucky will spawn the massive DuckyDucky. That means all who fight will have the chance of drops, everything from the cape to temporary travel forms. And the token to trade for a pet or travel form is a guaranteed drop! This also makes it more rewarding for those who find Sir DuckyDucky multiple times.

The fifth annual hunt will stretch over five different days this year!

We’re totally rooting for you.

So, you may ask, how do you play? Here are the rules and instructions, so take note! If you’ve participated previously, the rules haven’t changed. Your task is to discover where Sir DuckyDucky is hiding out and snap a screenshot with him (be sure you include you showing your name!). This screenshot is your entry for the drawing. Sir DuckyDucky will be moving all around Lore — even moving servers, so be sure to listen to clues carefully as he might jump in the middle of a hunt!

You’ve been waiting all year, and now it’s here! The annual AdventureQuest 3D DuckyDucky Easter Hunt is on! Though it’s after Easter, we’re keeping the spirit of the holidays going with the third iteration of the contest this next week!

I know it’s been hard waiting for a chance to adopt your very own cuddly yellow floofball. How can you not feel like a ball of sunshine is following you on your adventures with your own DuckyDucky? But your chance is here! NOW! And (nearly) all of Lore is where the magic will happen. These little ducklettes have been growing adorable and huggable just for you.

Like last year, a total of four more yellow DuckyDucky pets will be given away during this hunt. (And also like last year, that does not count any won live on the MJTV stream on Friday, 23 April 2021.) And as a special this year, we will also add in at least two Cape O’ DuckyDuckys to the prize pool. If you’ve participated previously, the rules haven’t changed. However, I am sure a reminder is good for everyone. Your task: Find where Sir DuckyDucky is hiding out and snap yourself a screenshot with him. This screenshot is your entry for the drawing! Remember, Sir DuckyDucky is still pretty new so he will only hide out in places that a low-level character can get to.

One difference for 2021 is that Sir DuckyDucky he will be jumping servers to give many a chance! So listen to clues carefully — he might jump in the middle of a hunt!

All entries have an equal chance of winning (except for those who have already one; you cannot win a second time).

Once he is found by a few, Sir DuckyDucky will sneak away to a new spot! If no one has found him, clues will be shared periodically both on Twitter and here on this post. Remember, no one can go to him as his friends list is completely blank! And you may not be too eager to share where you found him since the more who join the raffle, the lower your chances of winning become.

To give folks time to get their emails in, the final tally will be counted first thing Monday morning, 26 April 2021. That list will be posted here. Then, during a special MJTV stream during the afternoon (date and time TBD, Possibly even the 26th), the winners will be determined by a spin of a LFS prize wheel. Wondering why we’re having this second soirée? The Streamapalooza is one way to celebrate the amazing fans and viewers of MJTV like you! I seriously love our community, and who could so no to adding more friends to the mix! I’m also pretty keen on rewarding you for your awesomeness, so as in Streamapalooza’s past, I’ll be hosting a number of giveaways — while possibly forgoing chunks of gameplay to do so. And when we meet specific goals, we’ll toss in more giveaways!

There’s no set schedule, but I am open to suggestions for games to delve into. We might also pull up the Wheel of Shinies to pick a game or two. Today’s fun will kick off with AdventureQuest 3D. That said, we all know the main thing is to hang out, have fun, and fill your pockets with loot.

What is this jubilee all about? It’s a way to celebrate the amazing fans and viewers of MJTV — and maybe even add a few more. Thanks to feedback, we’ve devised a better giveaway. It is in testing so if we need to make revisions for next time, we can! This time we have a special point-driven raffle system in place. Raffle tickets will be purchased using the brand-new channel currency for MJTV called shinies. These are earned by watching and participating in MJTV streams on https://www.twitch.tv/mjguthrie. Shinies — and hours watched for ranking and regular status — will start accruing starting during the MJTV stream on 1 March 2019. (Note: Those bonus points awarded to viewers during the 26 February 2019 stream will be added to recipients Twitch accounts.) SO how do you get them? Some are automatic, and some require a bit of luck.

How to earn shinies (points):

• By watching: 1 shiny per every 15 minutes just for watching live (+1 for sub, +1 for active)
• By winning raffles/Moglin Mayhem contests: 5 shinies per win (+5 for subscribers)
• By supporting MJTV: 10 shinies for sub, 1 shiny per 50 bits cheered, 2 shinies per $1 tip

Shinies raffles will be done randomly during streams. Extra raffles may happen when cheers or tips occur or when hitting certain viewer counts.  For instance, at 50 viewers there will be two (2) bonus raffles. At 75 viewers, there will be three (3)!

All shinies accumulated from this time until the final raffle drawing during the AQ3D stream on 15 March 2019 can be used for the drawing. During that final stream the raffle will close and the winner will be drawn.

How to enter final raffle drawing:

Each raffle ticket will cost 10 shinies. You can purchase as many tickets as you have shinies for. Please note that shinies are spent/removed whether or not you win! The raffle itself will be open on the MJTV channel for 24 hours before the drawing itself giving everyone in every time zone the opportunity to get their tickets and enter. You need not be present to win, but you will have to whisper me from your Twitch account before any prize can be awarded.

Remember, the DuckyDucky is a loyalty reward! He is my special mascot for LFS and MJTV. As discussed previously, there will be a minimum level of entry to participate in the final raffle. You will have to have a combined total of two (2) hours of viewing time during those two weeks to enter. Honestly, if you aren’t watching you won’t be accruing many points, but this will also prevent someone with great RNG from swooping in for a total of 10 minutes and randomly winning.

Please do not enter with alt Twitch accounts. As much as increased viewers might seem nice, it is very important to me that the drawing be as fair as I can possibly make it. If you are discovered to be using multiple accounts to enter the raffle, you will be disqualified. This can include removal of the pet if already delivered to be awarded to another. Please, let’s be respectful of this rule and only purchase your raffle tickets using one single Twitch account.
