You may have noticed that April has slipped past without the annual AdventureQuest 3D DuckyDucky Easter Hunt. That’s not because it was forgotten. Oh no. And it wasn’t just to balance out how early last year’s hunt was. The delay was due to waiting a smidgen as some special new DuckyDuckys were being added into the game for your collecting pleasure! We’re talking about a sizable assortment of DuckyDucky statues to add to your homes. You can build your own flock! These new fluffy friends can be found at Zilla’s community shop. Not only that, there is a special ghostly version that can drop from the DuckyZilla spawn itself. And now that this flock has arrived, it is time to begin the hunt and start your new collection.

So let’s get going with the seventh annual DuckyDucky Easter Hunt! This year will follow the same flight pattern as last year: Over the course of a week (and maybe a bit more!), Sir DuckyDucky will be hiding throughout Lore in his mini DuckyDucky form. As folks find him, a Mega DuckyDucky will be spawned for everyone to play with. Drops include DuckyDucky coins, capes, travel form feathers, and now the ghostly DuckyDucky housing statue. And those coins can be spent on a pet, a travel form, and now housing items in the community shop.

The hunt begins today, 6 May 2025! The 7th annual DuckyDucky Easter Hunt kicks off at 3:00 p.m. EDT on MJTV. Don’t fret if you miss the first one; there will be plenty more throughout the week, with oodles of chances to earn some fluffy stuff. Clues for the search will be shared via this post, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, DuckyDucky Discord, and even livestream on MJTV. Once those spawns descend, Sir DuckyDucky will fly off, finding himself a new hiding place somewhere in Lore. Don’t forget, he can appear on any server, so follow the clues. And don’t forget, finding him once isn’t the end; if you suss him out multiple times, you not only get multiple chances at rare rewards, you collect more coins to buy more stuff with.

To help make up for the wait, we’re adding more days (most with livestream clue giving) to this year’s hunt. Three more, in fact! Here are the eight different hunt days of various times to help accommodate all times zones:

Just a reminder that for fairness, the Go To function will not work on Sir DuckyDucky. His friends list is completely blank, so no one will have an advantage. And everyone who participates gets a reward (unlike a piñata). There are plenty of chances to play with DuckyZilla; if you can’t catch him at one spot, follow the clues and head to the next.  You might even stumble upon a random DuckyZilla on your way.

The 2025 Easter Hunt is concluded. That was a long party, and was great to see everyone. Thanks so much for participating and hope ya’ll had fun. See you next year!

What will be familiar to the flock of DuckyDucky hunters? You will still be searching for Sir DuckyDucky. You will still get clues via this site, Twitter, on the DuckyDucky Discord, and live on the MJTV stream. Sir DuckyDucky will continue to move all around Lore (and move servers!), so listening to clues carefully is still important. There will also be multiple days and times to help accommodate as many folks as possible. You will also have the chance to get the cape and the pet.

So what’s different this time around? Starting this year, Sir DuckyDucky will not be hiding as his bushy-faced self; instead, he will be in tiny DuckyDucky form. There is also no longer a need to submit any screenshots once you discover his whereabouts. In place of that, you’ll be facing a DuckyZilla! Yup, once a few hunters find his location, Sir DuckyDucky will spawn the massive DuckyDucky. That means all who fight will have the chance of drops, everything from the cape to temporary travel forms. And the token to trade for a pet or travel form is a guaranteed drop! This also makes it more rewarding for those who find Sir DuckyDucky multiple times.

The fifth annual hunt will stretch over five different days this year!

Once he is found by a few, Sir DuckyDucky spawn DuckyZilla, then he will sneak away to a new spot — possibly on a new server! If no one has found him, clues will be shared periodically on Twitter, here on this post, on the DuckyDucky Discord, and for most days, live on stream. Be sure to pay attention to the clues. And remember, no one can go to him as his friends list is completely blank.

One of the great things about TSW is the fact that it’s not just a matter of grabbing a couple levels and going out to smash through things with the same skills you’ve been using all along. Here you have to tailor what you are going to use for what you are going to face! I love that even combat involves planning, paying attention, and strategy.  And if you don’t get things right the first time: step back, reevaluate, and readjust your plan of attack. Then, when victory is obtained, it’s all the sweeter. Nothing drove that point home better than this:

A Time to Kill was an emotional roller coaster, which is really a good thing.  And even though I know what lies in store, I can’t wait to do at again on my Templar — not just for the flamethrower, but to experience the story again.
